Another boring day of school for Johnson. His college experience wasn't exactly a great one so far. It wasn't that he had any particularly bad experience, he just didn't have any ones that were good. He was getting his general ed done before working on getting his degree in Psychology which meant he wasn't taking the classes he wanted to take and felt like he was in High School again.

The main issue was that Johnson was a rather big introvert which meants he didn't have much going on in the friend department. As such he didn't live the social lifestyle college can be known for, the one that tends to make it enjoyable. That wasn't to say Johnson's school life in the upper education was all bad.

He was particularly drawn to the library, as it was an incredibly large building with an ever growing collection of books. If there was one thing Johnson loved it was books. He enjoyed reading about these vast worlds that people created from simply their imagination. Part of him one day wanted to create something like that, a world for people to fall in love with.

That was in the distant future though. For now Johnson was content with reading and spending his free time in the library checking out all the new additions they got on a near weekly basis. The librarian and him had bonded over the semester, and she would always let him take first look at the new book orders whenever they came in. Not many words were shared between the two, but the brief time they did was nice. It was probably the closest thing Johnson had to a friendship at the college.

The librarian, who's name was Stephanie Smith, would however disappear one day. During the second week of March, Stephanie would suddenly be no where to be found. The book shipment had arrived for the month and she had signed for it that day. The library was locked and her car was still parked in the employee parking spaces. Despite all of this, she wasn't found anywhere on campus, not even a purse left behind.

It was a strange mystery that didn't seem to have an answer. The most accepted theory was that she ran off with a man she had met, as outside of her professional life she was a bit quick to jump at ideas and it made sense considering the little evidence left. If her phone would be called it would simply say that it had been disconnected, which added onto the theory.

Johnson on the other hand was a little suspicious. Even though they didn't talk a lot, he felt that Ms. Smith would of talked to him about it in some capacity. Since the library remained open, Johnson used this opportunity to do some digging around to see if there was something he could find that would be able to "crack the case."

Sadly, Johnson seemed to be far over his head. He couldn't figure out anything that wasn't already determined before his searching. He sighed and ran his head through his hair. There had to be something that he was missing. Johnson was determined to figure out this mystery but none of it was connecting and the more he researched the more confusing the whole thing got.

He looked around at her desk and noticed a paper. It was the order for the month. Curious as to what exactly was in it, Johnson grabbed the sheet and read through it. The order was far from a big one today, quite small in fact. Only one book came in! It was called "Spell Play 101," of which had an unknown author and no description tied to it.

This seemed like a point of interest, and Johnson could use something to get his mind off of the whole situation. With that, he left the desk and looked around for this "Spell Play 101," wherever it was. Eventually, he would find it stored away in the back of the non-fiction section of the building. It was a large leather bound book with tons of dust on it, a strange thing considering it barely came a few days ago.

Johnson went to the back in his usual private spot and opened it up, a dust cloud popping out from the cover. The pages had an orange hue to it and a handful of tears on it. It certainly wasn't in the best condition, but for how old it seemed to be it was surprisingly better than expected. The words written looked to be in English, but had a mix of foreign phrases Johnson could barely make the words out of.

He flipped around noticing a handful of various what appeared to be spells. It was honest to the name! Granted they all had names that Johnson couldn't understand, let alone pronounce! There was one page he ended up at that became a point of interest titled "New World." It stood out considering that it was the only spell that had a name that Johnson knew what it was.

He skimmed through the pages, and what looked to be a rat person was on the bottom corner in over sized clothing. Johnson thought it was a little cute and flipped the page and noticed that the rat was now clothed in a more knight-like attire looking confident. He turned back to the other page and was as confused as ever.

Instead of the rat there was now a fox woman with looser clothing who held it up nervously. Everything else looked to be the same, and Johnson felt an urge to read the page, but a sensible part of his brain told him to put the book away as there was clearly something amiss with it. Johnson elected to ignore this part of his brain and read the spell on the page mumbling it to himself.

After he finished reading the page, he turned it over and noticed that what was once the rat knight was now the fox woman dressed in a mage's robe. He continued reading the backside of the page and once he finished, a strange rune formed out from the center of the book and it made a pseudo-cage out of light that surrounded Johnson and the next thing he knew, Johnson was surrounded by nothing in a black void.

He attempted to talk, but nothing came out from his throat. Merely air. This didn't help put Johnson at ease considering the whole situation. He felt a strange tingle start to form all over his body, it wasn't unlike an itch but something else felt odd about it. It was as if something on his body was multiplying, and rapidly. That's when he realized it was his hair!

Johnson looked down at his hands and was greeted with quite a shock. They were covered in light yellow fur! It was growing at a substantial rate, having already taken over his arms and shoulders as well. His fingers lengthened, all while becoming thinner as his hands themselves shrank. A similar transformation occurred to his arms, which lost quite a bit of mass becoming phenomenally thin. Johnson had broad shoulders, but with fur they would leave as they caved inward losing much trace of notoriety.

The next step of the transformation would be one of the more major ones, and that came to her head. His ears began to grow longer as they slowly tricked up his head until they reached the center, sticking up erect as they turned triangular with a black tuft of hair at the tip of them as yellow fur conquered the backside and white on the inside. Johnson's hair grew longer, becoming a slightly darker shade of yellow as bangs fell into his vision. His cheeks grew out significantly, fur pointed down highlighting its new length. There was a tugging at the center of his face as it started to extend greatly. As his jaw lengthened more teeth aligned it, becoming a particular breed of canine sharp. His nose became smaller as a whole, but more noticeable at the tip as the color turned black and it became wet. His eyes had also gone from brown to a light blue. The lump is his throat was a thing of the past leaving him with a much higher pitched voice.

Changes continued down Johnson's body, and it was then that they really would start to effect more than Johnson would of liked. His body began to contort moreso, namely his figure. His back was pushed inward, going into an arch all while his waist followed. Johnson's waist was significantly more narrow and his body itself much thinner than once was. The yellow fur by this point had grown all over his body, now coated in it with no sign of skin underneath due to its thickness. Johnson's hips grew outward, highlighting his new curves even more and completing his hourglass figure quite nicely. The curves weren't entirely done forming as his rear began to bubble outward becoming pronounced and completing the feminine figure of her new build.

The most notable of changes would now befall Johnson. On his chest, two orbs of fur covered flesh formed and pushed out, gaining weight to them. They were quite modest but still enough to throw Johnson's balance off. There was a sudden jolt between his legs, which caused his knees to lock and point towards each other. His manhood slowly shriveled away leaving only a slit in its wake. The insides would start to contort and twist, flipping into the reproductive system made for the opposite sex officially making Johnson a woman.

The transformation was winding down, but not quite over. From behind her, a medium sized yellow tail formed that came complete with a white tip. His legs formed their own curves, taking on a shapely look as her calves became more defined as her thighs became thicker. Johnson's feet had grown slightly, pads forming underneath them as her nails turned into black claws. On top of that she lost two digits of toes to fully complete the transformation into a fox woman.

However, the overall changes weren't all done. Now it was Johnson's clothes that would transform. His old tee shirt had become a simple bra while his boxers turned into panties. His jacket on the other hand would go through a much different change. It would connect to his jeans as the two conjoined and turned a light yellow color not unlike her new fur color. The pant legs formed into one hole as it grew down to her feet and drug on the floor a bit. A regal emblem formed on the white that was going down the robes. Around her waist, a blue scarf formed as well as a much thicker and longer one around her neck. On Johnson's shoulders two large pads formed, circular with white outline and yellow orb in the center. Over Johnson's paws, two light orange shoes formed. Lastly, two long white gloves formed that ended in a point that rested between her middle and ring finger.

The transformation seemed to be over, but unfortunately for Johnson they weren't. Suddenly, he came down with a giant migraine. A lot of Johnson's old reserved self was suddenly being overwritten with an entirely new personality. She was excitable, and ready to take on the world no matter who stood in her way. Alef was the best mage in all the land and no one would ever be able to prove her otherwise! It was her life and she was in control of it!

With that, Johnson had officially made the transition from shy, human Johnson to a confident vixen: Alef. The black void began to have structure yet again. Castle walls began to form, as well as a bedroom for a female mage such as herself. The walls were a dark purple, and had a bed with yellow sheets. On top of that, there was a desk with a spell book on it not unlike the very one Johnson had initially looked at. More books had formed in two large selves on both sides of said desk. On it would also be a candle providing light over the area.

With a smile, Alef walked over and opened the book. It would open right up to the New World spell page that caused the whole ordeal. Alef examined it as if it should mean something to her, but yawned and turned the page.

"Why would I want to go to a new world when this one is perfect for me? I'm the best mage in the kingdom!" she boasted to herself as she kept flipping through the book, attempting to find a spell for herself to study and perfect as she tended to do.

"Self Healing? That's useful! Not!" she chuckled to herself. "Why worry about healing when you never have to worry about getting hit? That's knowledge I can use for something more useful for me!"

She kept flipping around to various pages, laughing at some of the more basic ones such as Transfiguration that had it's own sub category. She had to admit the idea of turning her landlord into a sheep was amusing to her but ultimately would lead to more problems than she cared to deal with.

"Ooh, now that's a fun one!" she stopped at one that if used would allow her to freeze the victim in place. "Then you get a free extra attack! Sounds good to me!" Alef smiled and began to read it. She had read through it once and was ready to test it on her housemate who had seemed to just pop up out of nowhere.

"Ooh Sammy!" she called to her vixen mate, of which shared the same fur pattern and look as her, albeit a light orange as opposed to yellow.

"Yes, what is it this time?" she asked crossing her arms and leaning on the doorway.

"Just hold still!" she said chanting something and pointing a finger at her friend.

"Wait...no no no!" realization overcame Sammy. "I am not being your practice dum-" however she was cut off mid-scolding with a finger pointed at Alef and another hand on her hip and an annoyed and angry look on her face.

"Sweet! It works!" Alef clapped her hands and walked over examining her frozen roommate. She knocked on her and it was definitely real ice! "Cool! That's going to be super handy in the future!" She smiled and went back to her desk. "Now then, time to find the reversal spell. I'm sure I can do it before you melt, don't worry!" she assured the "ice sculpture" that was Sammy, of which was fully aware of what was happening and the words that Alef was saying! She began to try and shout out her, only muffles coming out.

"Relax Sammy, have I ever not found a cure for your testing? Well, except for the time I made you a girl but you know you like it! You get to dress like me now! And I'm a fantastic dresser!" she turned back to the book. "Ooooh, or we can use heat to defrost you! That sounds more fun and useful in the log run!" Alef added to Sammy's dismay. Hopefully she'd be out of this situation soon! She missed when Alef was just quiet and to herself!
Commission for an Anon who wanted a person transforming into Alef from Shining Force with MC. Had fairly free reigns, was fun to do!

I like the story, but whatever happened to the librarian? Is Sammy Stephanie?
