Is that what you think it is? It is! It's another Invention of the Week! I'm Amelia, your favorite lab rat who accidentally made themselves into a rat woman one day! I remember it like it was yesterday, but replace yesterday with...a few years now. Time sure does fly! If only I was a bird then I'd actually be able to fly...which does give me an idea for a new invention. Rambling aimlessly sure does have its perks!
And what's a better perk than sweets. So I was at home, dressed in clothes and munching on some Jolly Ranchers. And boy are those great, they're cheap to buy in bulk and they give you so many! It's truly a great piece of candy. They're hard but you can kind of see through them and that got me thinking, what would it feel like to BE candy! And thus the Sweet Tooth was born!
What exactly is the Sweet Tooth? That's what I'm here to tell you, ya idiot! It's this special gum that I made with different flavors to make you into different things! There's a chocolate flavor which turns you into...chocolate! Who would of thought? Fruity Flavor which will make you into a gummy! On top of that we have Popping Flavor which is strange in the fact it makes you like a rock person thing! And lastly is Peppermint, which will make you into a candy-cane peppermint like thing! So much variety!
So with that, we have to move onto our volunteers! And this one is a little unique as they are all animals for the first time in Invention of the Week history...I think! First there is Jeff who is a gray wolf guy! He's tall! There is also Sammy, the otter girl who is...an otter! On top of that we have a sheep named Jeremy! Never had one of those before. And lastly to top it all of there is Jasmine who is...a squirrel! With an ensemble of animals let's get right down to the fun part the testing!
First up was Jeff who would be taking a chew on what else but chocolate! Lil ol' chocolate wolf. He began to chew on the gum as the transformation quickly began. The wolf's fur began to harder, turning into a pure brown. His tail would soon follow, drooping closer to the ground as it became heavier. His tuft of hair between his ears became the same milk chocolate brown his body was becoming. Not only that, his clothes would follow in the same path, Jeff now chocolate from his head to his toes, clothes included seemingly more apart of his body than not though still fully capable of speech and movement and the like!
Next would be Sammy the otter. She would be given the fruity gum. As she chewed, her whole body felt softer all while her body started to become slightly transparent. Her tail became red, while her arms turned green. Not only that, her legs became green while her head turned a silver color. Her hair vanished into her gummy head. Her whole body was squishy and quite colorful as the live gummy otter came to be!
The penultimate volunteer would be our sheepy friend Jeremy. He would be giving the Popping Flavor, of which just tastes like pineapple...for some reason. But it's going to be a lot harder...n-not in that sense! Get your head out of the gutter! Jeremy chewed on the gum as the fluff of his wool hardened, separating but sticking together held by a sticky substance forming underneath Jeremy. It became rainbow colored, green, red, yellow, and purple to name a few. This shape would form all over his body, his small tail a little line of pop rock-esc shape. The sheep's wool was much harder and rocky now, being made out of such.
And lastly there was the Peppermint flavor that would be Jasmine the squirrel would be testing out! She chewed on her gum as her whole body began to grow hard. On top of that, her fur would melt away to the hard white surface and red stripes began to coat it. Her ears hardened and found themselves falling still. The pattern befell all over Jasmine's body, having a minty smell to her body as she herself had become a living candy cane, minus the cane part!
That's all the changes! They are all very tempting to take a small nibble out of if I'm being honest, and I'm pretty sure they want to eat a little bit at themselves...they might of already done that. I...maybe this wasn't the smartest idea. I also forget to develop a way to turn them back to normal. They don't melt do they? Eh...probably not but...I-I should probably work on fixing them so I'm going to go do that!
Another Invention of the Week! This one is honestly on the weaker side, not too crazy with how it turned out.
You said it wasn't the best written thing ever. But, conceptually, it was unique, and I liked what you were going for, so kudos for that.
Good job on having all anthros and no stereotypes (stereotypes would be chocolate rabbit and gummy bear, in case you somehow don't know about those candies) despite having a literal lab rat running things. Also, yeah, wandering without a goal can occasionally turn up some stuff you wouldn't have found otherwise, and rambling is just the vocal equivalent of wandering.
Have you made the story where she turned into a rat woman?
